Transportation
As all delegates will be staying onsite at the workshop venue, bus transport from Melbourne to the Sebel Heritage (and back to Melbourne at the end of the workshop) will be organised for delegates, costs are included in the workshop registration fee:
- Wednesday July 4, 4pm: the bus will be picking up delegates from the Melbourne CBD (Southern Cross Station Coach Terminal bus bay 55) for transport to the Sebel Heritage workshop venue in the Yarra Valley, arriving at about 5pm.
- Saturday July 7, 5pm: the bus will leave the Sebel Heritage and arrive back in the Melbourne CBD (Southern Cross Station Coach Terminal bus bay 55) at approximately 6pm.
Please note that a taxi ride from Melbourne Airport into the CBD will cost about $50-60 (plus tolls). The most convenient form of public transport is the Airport bus, which will take you directly from the airport into the Melbourne CBD (Southern Cross station).
If you are arranging your own transport to the Yarra Valley, possible options from Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine) include:
- Taxi: a taxi from the airport to the Sebel Heritage will take about an hour and cost $100-150 (depending on traffic).
- Public transport: you will need to catch the Airport bus into the CBD, at a cost of $17 one-way or $28 return and takes 20 mins, then a train to Lilydale, at a cost of $6.50 (for a two-hour ticket) and will take just over an hour. The Skybus arrives at Southern Cross station, which is where you can catch the train from. When you reach Lilydale, you will then need to catch a taxi from Lilydale station to the Sebel Heritage, which will take around 10 mins at a cost of ~$15.
